the whole app
which onewould you ratherlisten to?
that's the only question slade asks. answer it enough times and you've got a chart of everything you listen to, in the order you actually like it. no stars, no five point scale, and never a box asking you what a 7 means.
one email, the day it opens. nothing else.
what's in it
six things, in order.
all of it comes out of the same answers, so none of it is guessed at.
- 01
rating
two songs, one question. pick one and both of them move. the app works out which pair it learns the most from next, and stops asking about a song once it knows where that song sits.
- 02
charts
songs, albums and artists in your order, not an average of strangers. your score sits in purple on every record page, everyone else's in blue, and the shared one stays hidden until enough people have rated it to mean anything.
- 03
lists
a tier is a mood. a rating is a measurement. so tier lists, rankings and plain lists sit apart from your chart and never touch it.
- 04
takes
say something about a record and put your score beside it. people agree or they don't, and you get to watch the split.
- 05
stats
the taste silhouette, the genre ridgeline, the rating barcode, upset wins, and an odometer that has counted every battle you ever answered.
- 06
games
five of them, sitting in the feed with the daily challenges: the sample, the label, the needle, the shuffle, the squabble.
slade opens on ios soon.
